Digital Learning Specialist

The role

This role is an initial 4 month contract with an immediate start available. We are welcoming applications from experienced Digital Learning Specialists who have a rich appreciation and understanding of e-Learning technologies, pedagogy and adult learning principles.

The Digital Learning Specialist is responsible for the oversight and development of interactive learning, including the development of reusable, scalable interactive templates, purpose-built interactive objects, multimedia resources, and media-driven pedagogies with the aim of increasing student engagement and promoting learning.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement pedagogically sound interactive and digital material to enhance higher education units using a range of industry recognised e-Learning technologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage academic materials with a view to locating, identifying, and exploiting opportunities for the development of rich interactive experiences.
  • Create storyboards for interactive content and activities that strengthen organisational branding within project scope.
  • Develop and distribute  discipline-agnostic interactive templates for use by learning design staff with the view to promoting rapid deployment and reuse.

The must have’s

  • Experience in a fast paced commercial or tertiary teaching environment.
  • Confidence negotiating project briefs, outcomes and deliverables to timeframes and scope.
  • Expertise in authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline (or equivalent), and Adobe Creative Suite
  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in education and/or multi-media/graphic design.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment
