OES has expanded its global education enablement portfolio by finalising the acquisition of Construct Education. OES now owns 100% of the burgeoning online content development and hosting service provider following an initial majority investment in 2020.
Together OES and Construct enable a quality driven, fast and student-focused offering in online education, including learning design services at a global scale. They work with education partners to develop world-class online programs that provide a rich and immersive learning experience.
“Our acquisition of Construct builds on our focus to deliver quality online learning for partner universities and organisations, and their students, globally,” said Denice Pitt, CEO of OES.
“Over the last few years, we have seen our shared people-first focus and combined expertise in education deliver unrivaled service to universities and higher education providers. We look forward to building on this initial success over years to come,” she continued.
Construct and OES share a vision of an academic-led, learner-centric approach to online learning. Construct helps organisations with learners – like schools, universities, and employers – create cutting edge digital learning experiences. It delivers these experiences to millions of people all over the world.
The acquisition of Construct supports OES’s strategic objective to expand growth opportunities into new products, segments and geographies. Construct provides the OES group the ability to develop standalone learning design services through an existing provider, with an immediate client base, track record of client wins and established learning design and ed-tech capability.
“We are thrilled to join forces with OES and are excited about the opportunities this final step will bring to our team, clients, and the industry,” said David Philipps, CEO of Construct.
“Together, we will be able to provide even more engaging and impactful solutions at scale to help our clients achieve their goals.”
Construct is now a 100% owned subsidiary of the OES group and continues to operate under its own brand from its offices in Salt Lake City, London, and Cape Town.
