OES invests in The WorldGrad to create transnational programs for international students

02 June, 2022

Online education provider OES has today announced a minority investment in LINC Education Services, a Singapore headquartered online education enabler. LINC operates The WorldGrad, which offers hybrid study abroad programs to students based in India.

With 25 institutional partnerships across Australia, the UK and the US, The WorldGrad is the largest program provider of its kind, enabling accessible pathways into overseas higher education. The platform allows students based in India the opportunity to complete their first year of an overseas degree while at home and transition to on-campus at a partner university for the remainder.

“We are excited to have the support of OES as we look to grow the impact of The WorldGrad portfolio. We can see an enormous benefit to having the strategic guidance of OES given their impressive track record delivering quality-driven online education at a global scale”, said Abhinav Mital, co-founder of The WorldGrad.

“OES’s investment is set to propel the growth of The WorldGrad and will allow more students to study abroad at leading English-speaking universities.”

In addition to providing an affordable and convenient pathway for international students, the program also supports universities in diversifying their international student intakes by providing a quality-vetted and ready pipeline of students from India.

Founded in 2017, LINC has delivered online programs to over 15,000 students in partnership with universities across the region. The company has won numerous awards and recognitions for its work in online education as well as innovation in the study abroad space.

“We have been impressed with LINC’s educational offering and global outlook. The World Grad has significant potential to give students from India transformational access to an international, English-based education that might not otherwise be possible from an accessibility perspective,” said Denice Pitt, CEO of OES.

“Our investment in LINC further showcases our commitment to investing in the ever-evolving online education landscape and our vision to passionately enhance lives through education globally.

“We look forward to working closely with The WorldGrad team as they expand their offering to support more students and universities.”

OES has also made significant investments in emerging EdTech organisations such as Skills Union, Construct and Studiosity, as part of an ongoing commitment to delivering quality online learning on a global scale.
